Oriental Items
Our fortnightly Antiques & Collectables auction hosts a good selection of 17th-20th century Oriental ceramics, bronzes and artworks. Whilst the value for the majority of 'tourist wares' such as eggshell tea services has fallen very flat, certain period items still hold strong values and can give us unpredictable surprises.
In recent sales, we sold an 18th century Song de Boeuf diminutive vase achieving £8,800, a Chinese tiled caddy for £8,000, and a monumental pair of 19th century Exhibition quality vases, for £3,300.
